Infrequent poster extraordinaire ...
The other day I spent some time adjusting my harness as I found I was a little uncomfortable during the LLSC Scottish Nationals at Tinto. And yesterday trying to get in an opportunistic flight I went to Bank Hill near Dollar - walking up saw a pilot on a blue wing launching and going down. However started unpacking the wing when the first drops of rain arrived - rapacked - and repeated! - Gordon Smyth also arrived and we had a good chat and nearly flew but the wind veered East and the rain that had been in 2 alternating bundles joined together and it became clear that a walk down was required. At least it is better to be on the hill trying to fly than not even going out..

I have a few photos from my phone and they are here

Time for an update ...

Since last time loads has happened -

New house - excellent, floors sanded, rewired, gardening, gutters renewed all great loving it.

Food - far too much !! must mention squid in sauce excellent traditional Greek recipe ?.

Paris - wow.

paragliding - not much - but last week 3 flights in 6 days.
Tuesday 28th June Broughton - walked up - howling - walked half down - met Charlie - back up again - watched him have a few flights looking good - he flew down - I waited even longer and then finally took off - reverse - slight soar then down. Fully stoked on landing on an epic day where Stephen Pegler Dave Thomson et al had all done vast distances - still I was happy.

Friday - 1st July - time constrained as meeting Richard at 7.30 so to Moorfoots and whole cycle from arrival to back to the car in an hour - record breaking pace for me - just a ttb with a long daisy cutting forward launch in nil wind. Probably wasn`t social enough on the hill so sorry to anyone there - Dorita, Quentin, Graham etc not having enough time to chat as I wished.(Evening at home great chat with curry and beer. Perfect day basically.

Saturday 2nd July - meal at Susans with mum and Dad.

Sunday 3rd July - planned to go to The Scottish Nationals Paragliding Series comp at Ben Ghlas by Ben Lawers by Loch Tay - and was up early but then had car issues which seemed very bad but turned out to be just low coolant level! - Result dithered and then in a strange mood so didn`t arrive until Cliff needed a lift back up the hill. Walked up hillock near Resevoir and had a very short and straight reverse launched ttb to not even as far as the car park - big hill made small and not actually much flying for the effort or the 3 or so hours of driving. Bob Mathews went 54km or so bah humbug!!.

As usual it is more than a long time since my last post - and this one is just to link to a short phone video I took passing Hillend the other day - paragliding pilot slope landing just above the ski slope ..
