24th June 2012 - cycled along to the Falkirk Wheel to meet Tony who was sailing with friends down to Edinburgh along the canals - a few photos are here :-

At the same time I thought that I saw Susann - ne Sellar / Armstrong and I wished I had said hello - but I was not certain and it might not have been appropriate - the result though is that I have been kicking myself for nearly 4 years now about my timidity. I would like to hear how Susann is getting on.

In-between the above was Mario and Isabel`s wedding reception which was lovely and the Mela in Edinburgh - All in all a very busy August.
Early September saw me in Arran - where Zabdi managed to get me flying on my porous wing - me flying like a turnip though with everyone else flying further and longer - I should just admit I am too heavy as well as being lacking in practice - as evidenced about 3.5 minutes into this little video ...

October saw Ping and I cycle down to Twechar along the canal and back - totally beautiful and also saw a fisherman catch an 18lb Pike -
Early Feb 2013 - the usual Ratho repack event and then on the 20-21st February Ping and I went on the cruise to Amsterdam from Newcastle - time in Amsterdam too short but thoroughly enjoyed ...

Mid May 2013 saw me have my perhaps best flight for a few years - over 10 minutes - lovely - this is where I landed and on the walk down had a long chat with some guys extolling how wonderful paragliding is.
And the end of May saw Ping and I go on a holiday with tent to Skye - fabulous -
Saw some otters - and Corncrakes - an endangered or at least rare bird that has a very nice beer named after it - but where we were camping there was one `singing` at 01:30 in the morning - they sound like a digital alarm clock - effective - and I suspect it might be part of the reason why why they might be rare!

Then in early July Ping got a job at Skandia in Southampton so we had another holiday - Oxford - with our new tent- Southampton, Bath, then went separately with Ping returning to Southampton and I went to Richard`s in High Wycombe, then Goodwood Festival of Speed, - with Braham and Richard, then Tony + Xijuan`s and finally home via Glasgow with Braham.

Other highlights of the year - got a great deal via Gumtree for various woodworking items including a router.Various meals and drinks with the family and friends. Realising just how much enjoyed doing the garage and especially the doors with Dad.
